An exhibition celebrating the life and work of Jonathan Dewhurst was formally opened in September 2005 at the Wigan Pier.Experience. It was attended by four generations of the Dewhurst Family, together with other relatives and friends who have been closely involved with the research and the publication of the book. The guests were addressed by Colin Bean, another celebrated Lancashire character actor. Photos of the occasion are displayed below.
